About

Star Drift was actually started as RPG with storyline, but ended up as racing game with original gameplay. That was a mistake to change game's idea after 70% of all work was done. But I think i could add some RPG elements in sequel, so it wasn't absolutely useless.

Anyway, the idea of Star Drift is getting fun of real speed racing. I saw a number of flash racing games and they all were soooo booooring, so i decided to fix it.

That was a real challenge - to implement fun racing gameplay in flash. I worked in CS4 and the maps were just movieclips with 100000x100000 pixels. I used 0.02 zoom every time when making some changing in maps. And then scrolling back to it's normal size. Really dumb, but I didn't saw any other methods =)
Well, I don't know what's the idea of this post. I doubt that anyone will read it, but fuck that, i did it =)

Oh, and the trailer =) Music is from youtube's library.
